Regarding CPPC guidelines, issued by CPAO in 2012 and updated on 2015, which refers to Grievance Mechanism of the CPPCs
The pensioners above the age of 80 years have been allowed to submit the life certificate from 1st October onwards every year instead of November vide Department of Pension and Pensioners” Welfare OM No. 1/20/2018-P&PW(E) dated 18.07.2019 (copy enclosed).
Initiate the process for electronic submission of pension documents for sanction and authorization of pension as being done in the Central Civil Ministries for the pensioners covered under CCS (Pension) Rules. This will make the Life of the pensioners very easy, reduce unnecessary use of paper and data entry at various levels and ensure speedy processing and payment of pension.
Many Bank officials have stated that ink-signed letter of understanding is a necessary condition for start of pension and without this; the banks will not be able to start the first pension as any excess payment made to the pensioners can’t be recovered without any legal supporting document.
Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) processed/ authorized by the PAOs situated outside Delhi are being received in the CPAO after a considerable delay as the postal services at the local levels in the country are still not working at their full strength due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
