Holidays to be observed in central Govt DOPT Order for the year 2021 has released on Dated 10th June 2020. In the list correction made in the 29th row of Restricted Holidays.

Dussehra 2020 Known as one of the most prominent festivals of the Hindu community, Dussehra marks the victory of Lord Rama over the demonic ruler, Ravana who kidnapped Rama’s wife, Sita. Also called Vijayadashami, this day is celebrated after the conclusion of the nine-day-long festival of Navratri.
Holiday on 22 August 2020 due to Ganesh Chaturthi
Ganesh Chaturthi 2020 falls on Saturday, 22 August this year as per DOPT order. The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi is one of the most significant Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha, son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
Holiday on account of Parsi New Year on August 16, 2020
The Parsi New Year is a regional & Restricted holiday as per DOPT Order falls on August 16th 2020 and celebrated on the first day of the Zoroastrian calendar’s first month, Farvardin. It is also known as Navroz, which is derived from ‘nav’ and ‘roz’, meaning new and day respectively in Persian.
Disbursement of salary/wages/pension to the CG Employees in Kerala – ONAM on August, 2020
The salary/wages/pension so disbursed is to be treated as advance payments and will be subject to adjustment after the full month’s salary/wages/pension of each employee/pensioner is determined. The adjustment, if any, will be made without exception from the salary/wages/ pension of the month of August, 2020.
