**********

Kindly refer NFIR’s letters of even number dated 12/01/2018 and 07/02/2018 on the subject relating to upward revision of Kilometrage Allowance rates to the Running Staff of Indian Railways.

When I visited Nagpur recently (2nd August, 2018), large number of Running Staff (Loco Pilots, ALPs, Guards etc) met me and expressed their serious resentment over the abnormal delay in revising the Kilometrage Allowance rates while in case of non-running categories, the upward revision of Allowances has already been granted a year back.

During my discussion with you on the above subject, you have responded very positively and assured to see that decision is taken for revision of Kilometrage Allowance rates which would satisfy Running Staff. I however, once again requests you to kindly see that top priority is given to this subject for obtaining the concurrence of Ministry of Finance for revision of Kilometrage Allowance rates as proposed by NFIR vide its letter dated 07/02/2018.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely

(Dr. M. Raghavaiah)
General Secretary
