Terminal Benefits available to Family of a deceased KVS Employee and Process

Following benefits are granted to family on death of a KVS Employee during service:

(A) For KVS Employees covered under CCS(Pension) Rules, 1972:

(i) Family Pension (Not applicable to CPF optee)

(ii) Death Gratuity,

(iii) Accumulation under GPF/CPF

(iv) DLIS

(v) Leave encashment

(vi) EWS

For Family pension (In-service death of KVS Employee) and Death gratuity following documents are required:

⇒ For Family Pension & Death Case:

i. Death certificate of KVS Employee

ii. PAN number of Claimant (Photocopy)

iii. Details of Bank Account in SBI of family pensioner

iv. Address Proof

v. Passport size photo (two)

vi. Two specimen signatures of claimant alongwith finger print.

vii. Details of height and personal identification

viii. Contact details (Mobile No. and Email (if any))

(B) For KVS Employees covered under NPS:

(i)	Benefit from accumulated pension wealth under NPS	The provisions regarding grant of Family Pension & Death Gratuity is yet to be extended to KVS by the Ministry of Education, which has since been taken up with the Ministry.
(ii)	Death Gratuity
(iii)	Leave Encashment	As applicable to KVS employees
(iv)	EWS
