MEMORANDUM

Subject:- Cash Allowance to the Cashiers of the State Government Departments/ Establishments.

Several Departments have sought clarification from the Finance Department on entitlement of Cash Allowance to the Cashiers working in State Government offices under their control. The proposal has been examined in Finance Department. Thereafter, the matter has also been placed before the Empowered Committee for Coordination & Policy Initiative (ECCPI). The ECCPI in its meeting held on 30-07-2020 has recommended to allow Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred) only per month as Cash allowance to the Cashier working in the State Government Department /Establishment.

2. In light of the above, the undersigned has been directed to inform that Cash Allowance @ Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred) only per month may be allowed to the Cashier of the State Government Department/ Establishment. However, this allowance shall not be extended to Group-D staff attached to the Cash Section of the establishment.

3. The order shall be effective from 01-01-2021.
