Sub: OPD Consultation from Hospitals empanelled under CGHS

With reference to the above mentioned subject the undersigned is to advise all the private hospitals empanelled under CGHS to ensure that CGHS beneficiaries referred by Govt. Specialists/CGHS Medical Officers are provided OPD Consultation facilities by Specialist and ensure that they shall not charge more than the CGHS Consultation charges.

This news is only reiterating the existing procedure and no new information is given.
Over and above this the CGHS beneficiaries especially, pensioners are entitled to cashless facility as in-patients in all empanelled hospitals. But, of late these hospitals are denying cashless facility,reason being that medical bills submitted to CGHS directorate are kept pending for lack of budget provision. It is learnt that value of bills runs into a few hundred crores of rupees. This is the position obtaining in Hyderabad, Telangana. Let the govt resolve this issue, at least in view of the future of Modi Govt !!!
