Expected DA from January 2018 – 2%

October 5, 2018 rajasinghmurugesan

Expected DA from January 2018 – 2%

As mentioned during the previous article, the expected DA would have been 3% if AICPN had shown gradual increase. But it is not the case now – as we see a constant AICPN for 3 months in a row, the forecast needs adjustment. In summary, the expectation should be around 2% with both worst and best case scenarios as explained below.

You may try more scenarios from our Expected DA calculator

Scenario 1:

Let us assume a gradual increase of 2 points in AICPN for rest of this year and the calculated DA turns out to show a 2% increase from January 2018.

Scenario 2:

Let us now assume at the worst, a gradual decrease of 2 points in AICPN for rest of this year, the calculated DA would still shows a 2% increase from January 2018.

In that grade pay of 2400, minimum pay ₹ 25500 + 3% of every stage of increments. Increment depends upon your service rendered in your department.

    Sir,

I am working in Sangeet Natak Akademi is autonomous body of Min. of Culture. I was appointed LDC scale 950/- on 3rd January, 1995. As you are aware fixation in 5th pay commission is scale 950 to scale Rs. 3050/- My question is how many increment was given to me at the time of fixation in January, 1996 and January, 1997.

      OM PARKASH – 21/12

Since you joined in 3rd Jan.1995 at the time your pay scale in 4th CPC was Rs.950-1500 (S-5) then from 5th CPC from 1996 was Rs.3050-75-80-4590 ( PB1) In the 5th CPC increments given on completion one year at the joining month, so you got the increment of Rs.3050+75 =3125 from Jan.1996 and Rs.3125+75=3200 plus applicable allowances. In the 6th CPC the increments from July or Jan. and after completion of one year. if any promotion the Grade Pay changes after 6months of periods the increments will change.

Since you got the third promotion on 18/11/2011 as U.D.C so you are not eligible for 3rd MACPS. You are not eligible for Rs.4200/-. Correct, because you got 3 promotions as GP Rs.1800/1900, .2400, & 2800/-.
