NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 10th August, 2017

No. F.6/2017-SCA(I).—The Government of India vide its Resolution No. 1-2/2016-IC dated 25th July, 2016 decided to accept the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission in respect of the categories of employees covered in its Terms of Reference.

And whereas Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India decided to accept the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission in respect of the Officers and Employees of the Supreme Court in the manner specified in the Resolution No. F.6/2016-SCA (I) dated 23rd September, 2016.

The Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure) vide Resolution No.1-2/2016-IC dated 16.5.2017 conveyed the decision of the Government effecting certain changes, as specified therein, in the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission in respect of the categories of Employees covered in its Terms of Reference.

Decision No. (4) contained in the said Resolution dated 16th May, 2017 which is relevant reads as follows:-

“(4) The IOR of Level-13 of Civil Pay Matrix shall also be enhanced from 2.57 to 2.67. Accordingly, the Civil Pay Matrix as contained in Annexure-1 mentioned in para 6 of the aforesaid Resolution dated the 25th July, 2016 shall be revised. The revised Civil Pay Matrix is at Appendix-1. “

Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India, after consideration, has decided to make applicable the aforesaid decision of the Government to the concerned categories of Officers of the Supreme Court and the Index of Rationalization (IOR) of Level-13 of the Pay Matrix shall also be enhanced from 2.57 to 2.67 in their case. Accordingly, the Pay Matrix as contained in Annexure-I mentioned in para 6 of the Resolution dated the 23rd September, 2016 shall stand revised as at Appendix-I. Para 3 of the Office order dated 24th September, 2016 and Annexure-I thereto shall also stand amended accordingly.

    To aviod undue discrimination among the civilian employees of various departments / ministries under the Central Govt and to ensure equality & justice the Index of Rationalisation of the 7th CPC pay Matrix as recommended by the CPC in pay matrix I may kindly be enhanced as has been considered for the civilion employees of Hon’ ble Supreme Court..

    It is not clear that, whether Level 6 to 8 employees of Central Govt. are entitled to avail air fare in LTC like as TA.
