Recommendations in respect of some important allowances paid to Pensioners
Rate of Fixed Medical Allowance (FMA) for Pensioners has been increased from ₹500 per month to ₹1000 per month. This will benefit more than 5 lakh central government pensioners not availing CGHS facilities.
i.The rate of Constant Attendance Allowance granted on 100% disablement has been increased from ₹4500 per month to ₹6750 per month.

The enhancement of medical allowence i.e.Rs.500/= for pension holder effected from June 2017
as announced by our hon’ble Finance Minister but till date the enhancement not included in my pension account.

I have not opted for CGHS facility though the area is covered under the scheme.Am I eligible for FMA Rs.1000/- pm ?

Is the fixed medical allowance of ₹.1000 pm only for those central govt pensioners, residing in places where CGHS facility is not available? Or can it be availed by those who have not opted for CGHS facility even though it’s available in their city?

What happened to the 7CPC and DR to autonomous bodies pensioners. The DR from July, 2016 and the DR January, 2017 are yet to be released by the finance ministry. The reason not known for not releasing it and how long time it will take to effect.
