Command Allowance
This allowance is granted to certain personnel in CAPFs for shouldering higher responsibilities at the rate of ₹100 pm. There are demands to raise this allowance five-fold.
Analysis and Recommendations
Not only is the amount of allowance meagre, there is no valid justification for its continuation. Accordingly, it is recommended that Command Allowance should be abolished.
