Detailing hike in pension rates of contribution to avail CGHS facilities in respect of a middle level Central Govt pensioner retired in February

An illustration detailing hike in pension visa-a- vis rates of contribution to avail CGHS facilities in respect of a middle level Central Govt pensioner retired in February, 1994 from pay scale of 3000 – 4500/- drawing basic pension of 3750/- per month:

5. Revised pension on 01-01-2016 (multiplying with CMF of 2.57 I.e.Rs 16200 x2.57 ). 32382.00
6. Dearness Relief on 01-07-2016 648.00
7. Total ( 5 + 6). 33030.00
8. Basic pension + D R on 01-02-2017. 33030.00
9. Hike in pension + dearness relief on 01-02-2017 compared to February, 1994. 33030 divided by 3573= 9.24 times
B: CGHS CONTRIBUTION

1. CGHS Contribution.  6.00 per month. 650.00 per month.
2. Total contribution paid / to be paid towards CGHS.( 6 x 120 months )= 720.00. ( 650 x 12 months)= = 78000.00
3. Hike in contribution to CGHS in February, 1994 vis – a – vis in February, 2017. 78000 divided by 720 = 108.33 times.
