Annexure -B (Refer to para 16.3)
Form for intimation by the Pension Disbursing Agency to the principal CDA Pensions) Allahabad regarding revision of pension in terms of Ministry of Defence letter No. 17(01)/2016-D(Pen/Pol) dated October 2016.
(In respect to those who were retired/discharged/died in service prior to 01.01.2016)
G.Rajamanickam says
It is noted that the provision ” pension should not be less than 50 % of the minimum of the corresponding revised pay scale” as applicable earlier is not incorporated in the recent orders revising the pension of pre-2016 retirees issued by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare. As a result, many pensioners particularly those who rendered less than 33 years of service are getting less than 50 % of the minimum pension of the corresponding revised scale. Let us hope that the Government will soon issue necessary corrigendum in this regard.
LTCDR(Retd) Pannalal says
Sir, what is the fate of Lieutenant Commanders/Majors/Sqdn leaders retired before 1.1.2006 As per OROP implementation our basic pension has been fixed 23815 where as Ltcol/Commanders/wing commanders is 34765 leaving difference of 10950 and with the present DA rates the difference is 24556. what crime this rank has committed ? If you see the difference of pay between Ltcol and Col is very neglibile. Since now no Ltcdr or Major retires now because the time scale promotion to LTCOL with in 13-14 years of service. We have no mie-baap.
JK Prasad says
1. Hony Lt and equivalents fall under pay level 10 as per 7cpc reports. Their pay as per pay matrix table is 73200. After adding MSP @15500, 50% of this amount ie 44350 is supposed to be minimum pension.
2. However, after multiplying the basic pension by 2.57 of the present hony Lt pension @ 16160 it amounts to Rs. 41532 only. There is a deemed loss of Rs.2818 pm.
4. As per para 6.2.88 (iii) of 7cpv report duly accepted by the Govt pensioners have option to choose between option (i) and (ii) of 7CPC para 6.2.88 whichever is higher to be paid.
5. But, this option is not given to pensioners through this letter.
