No. Dated 11.09.2015
Justice Shri Ashok Kumar Mathur,
Chairman,
Seventh Central Pay Commission,
New Delhi.
Dear Sir,
Sub: Parity between Past and Future Pensioners
While urging for parity in Pension; for past and future pensioners before the Seventh Central Pay Commission, Staff Side, National Council/JCIM vide Chapter-IV, Para 4.1 submitted as follow:-
“The Government have recently announced that “One Pension’ shall be implemented in respect of Armed Forces so that the glaring disparity between the persons of equivalent rank and status do not draw vastly unequal pensions if they retire at different-point of time is undone. Already there is a complete parity in pension among the Judges of Supreme Court, High Court and the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, irrespective of the date of their retirement” Now the Government of India has accepted the demand for ‘One Rank One Pension’ in respect of Armed forces.
The detailed justification for the same has already been submitted in our aforesaid Memorandum, as well as during our Oral Evidence before the Central Pay Commission.
The Civilian employees of Central Government have been waiting anxiously for implementation of the same equally for them and hope that the Seventh Central Pay Commission would administer Justice by recommending “One Rank One Pension’ to all other past and future pensioners irrespective of their date of retirement and remove the injustice done to them so long.
Yours faithfully,
(Shiva Gopal Mishra)

Mr. Balachandran Nair PK. I am not sure of your status vis employment. you are, surely, not a defense veteran.
You want the central govt employees be given pension benefits at par with ex-servicemen. This would imply, as per Mr nair, that ex-servicemen are getting higher pension than a central govt employee. Do you know that a JCO equal to cl II officer gets less pension than a cl IV state govt employee? not to mention central govt retiree.
Have you ever been to a battle field. Do you know what a soldier is subjected to in action? He faces death every second of his existence in battle ground.
You are alive today to make this uncharitable comment on the grant of long standing justified demand of OROP because we did not differentiate human caricature like you from normal citizen in providing security and protection from enemy bullets.
As long as people like you inhabit this planet soldiers will be an object of perennial insult.
MKD Nair says
If railway and other employees want OROP let them also retire at the age of 33-34 with maximum permissible service of 15 years.
M.L.Sharma says
Decision taken by the Hon’ble PM in allowing OROP to Indian Army is excellent one which was kept pending by the previous Govt. Now Hon’ble PM is requested to consider the demand of OROP in r/o CPMF personnel as they are also sacrifying their lives for the sake of our mother land. I am sure that Hon’ble PM will definitely give a thought to it.
BALACHANDRAN NAIR PK says
Simple writing a DO letter will not yield anything. Unless protested as done by ex-servicemen. The moot question is whether the civilian central govt employees and pensioners will protest to get the same treatment as done for ex service pensioners?
Hope several unions/associations should come forward for the agitation.
