OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject : Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1960 – Revision of scale of pay.

The undersigned is directed to convey the sanction of the President to the modification of the revised scale of pay of Assistants and Stenographers in the Central Secretariat and also Grade IV of the Central Secretariat Service and Grades II and III of the Central Secretariat Stenographer’s Service, mentioned in Part B of the Schedules appended to the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1960 from Rs.210-10-290-15-320-EB-15-530 to Rs.210-10-270-15-300-EB-15-450-EB-20-530.

2. The above revision shall take effect from 1-7-1959. The fixation of pay in the new revised scale will be done in accordance with the relevant provisions of the CCS(RP) Rules, 1960 and the persons concerned shall be eligible to draw the arrears of pay.

3. The President is further pleased to decide that the persons who had exercised option under Rule 8 of the CCS(RP) Rules, 1960 shall be given a fresh option under rule 9. The option shall be intimated in the appropriate form appended to these rules and shall be exercised within a period of 4 months from the date of issue of these orders.

4. Formal amendment to the relevant entries in the Schedule attached to the CCS(RP) Rules, 1960 will be issued in due course.
