NOTIFICATION

 Subject:  Amendment in sub-rule (2) – CCS (RP) Rules, 1947

In exercise of the powers  conferred by sub-section (2 ) of section 241 of the Government of India Act, 1935, the Governor  General is pleased to direct that the following further amendment shall be made in the Central Civil Services (Revision of Pay) Rules, 1947, namely;-

For sub-rule (3) of rule 8 of the said Rules the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-

“(3) The Pay of a Government servant holding a post on unified scale shall be fixed in the prescribed scale under sub-rule (1) or sub-rule (2) according as he is a post-1931 entrant or a pre-1931 entrant and as if the post is not “non-permanent”, provided”:-

  1. that for the purposes of that sub-rule the pay he would have drawn in the unified scale had the points of entry to A, B and C grades been Rs. 100, Rs. 60, and Rs. 45 respectively, shall be taken as his “present pay” and
  2. that in the case of a Government servant in class I town the following amount shall be granted in addition to the pay to be absorbed in future increments:-

A grade clerk —- Rs. 20.

B grade clerk —- Rs. 20.

C grade clerk —- Rs. 10.
