In BSNL some employees are getting CCL for months together whereas some employees are not getting 10 days also. This is totally injustice. There should be some parameters so that facility can be extended to all eligible employees.
Dev C says
It is observed that female employees are misusing CCL for their domestic purpose as ther is no document required as a proof for sickness of their children nor any examination schedule is required. By many of the employees, this CCL is being used for marriages of their relatives held at their homes. Hence it should be made mandatory to produce required documets before granting CCL. Instead Govt may grant maternity leave for one year, as the infant really needs mother’s care for one year, in order to have a healthy child.
It is also suggested that CCL availed by female employees shold not be counted for pension, as is done in case of bank female employees. Then only the employees will avail CCL only during urgency and for valid reasons.
It is also suggested that the period of leave may be restricted for 5 to 6 years of the age of the child, when they really require parents attention for their well being.
It is also suggested that for mothers of physically challenged, mentally retarded, suffering from cancer or other fatal diseases, may be allowed to take 730 days CCL till 18 years of child.
I think these serious issues shall be taken into account by the govt before finalising 7th pay commission recommendations .
