The Govt / the Fin Min /Commissions and Organizations did not equally concept cognition of OROP cogitation being civilians not experienced the life and structure of Armed Forces Personnel. Have they conceived strongly, the pensioners of Armed Forces
would not have prolonged to continue suffer the anomaly in the pension structure of Armoured Personnel. The representatives lacking knowledge of the cogitation could not convince the Govt and Political leaders and Commissions. The originator/author of the idea of OROP never discussed the issue with the authorities at the time of recommendations. A patriot Soldier is stronger and sharper than a gun or a weapon.
An officer of Armed Forces and a Sepoy both faced/faces killing/piercing weapon of the enemy force equally and they defended and protected the nation equally at the time of war. keep aside the comfort and luxury Officers enjoy. Should they both be compensated equally or differently? Life of an officer and a Soldier is same and precious for himself. Should it be different for the nation? Should the perishing dead body is honored differently when both were killed in war by the enemy bullets or weapons?
Should the Officer and the Jawan both buy merchandise from the same shop/store for the same price or differently after their retirement? The Officer while in service enjoyed different grade of food stuff (Bread, butter, egg, cheese and jam and Whisky/Scotch/Brandy/Jin & beer while the Jawans had perished food and Ghoda Rum. Officer and Soldier both had one rank (ENEMY) before the enemy and their gun and weapon.
If their life had ONE RANK BEFORE THE ENEMY BARREL THEY MUST BE GIVEN ONE COMPENSATION/REWARD/PAY FOR THEIR SACRIFICE and courage and bravery, though the salary and wages and benefits were different while serving in peace/war for routine work of the post and positions they held. Secondly, both were ‘Soldiers’ of one Uniform.
Another aspect is, a Soldier of the same Rank and grade served for same period in different terrain conditions receive different rate of pension because they joined and served at different years. The one served 10-20- 30 years ago receives low pension than the one retire now after same length of service with raised salary and benefits.
The anomalies in the pension structure is self explanatory; the injustice and step motherly treatment towards old pensioners need to be done away with improved pension and benefits to bring personnel of ONE RANK” AND LENGTH/GRADE OF SERVICE WITH “ONE PENSION”, without the discrimination of the years (decade)of service. May the retirement/invalidation/death be during Sixtys, Seventys, Eightys, Ninetys, or 21st Century. “ALL RETIREES ARE PENSIONERS, PENSIONERS HAS NO RANK AND UNIFORM. May he be a Sepoy or a General; a Sepoy is more patriotic and sincere than a General.

If Govt is committed to give OROP let them issue the orders before loksabha is dissolved and settle the contempt petition coming up on CAT Principle Bench on 5th March. That is also more ore less is OROP.
