It is hard but the truth is the next government would be BJP, who is never against hiking retirement age. There are record number of employees, who are on verge to retire in the next 2 years. Considering the fact that the last retirement age which was enhanced from 58 to 60 was done by BJP Government and the UPA has created negativity among the employees as they were many rumours about the increase in retirement age to 62. Now in present situation the employees are very dissappointed and wants to hike the retirement age to 62.

So the best option for the UPA Government is to raise the retirement age and consider the vote bank of the to-be-retired employees and you may come into power.

Unless this, It is practically impossible for UPA to survive as there is lot of negativity among Central Govt Employees. And as far youth is concerned it would not impact them as just 4% of Indian job market has central government jobs!!

And it is already proven that just 30% of youth only would caste their vote and various surveys reveal that they are seeking for change in Government.

So the final verdict is, Raise the Retirement age to 62 and capture the vote bank, if you UPA wants to come into power in 2014!!

As a request cum suggestion to the Prime minister of India, kindly hike the retirement age from 60 to 62 for central govt. employees and generously approving the much awaited/delayed OROP by this the present govt will be get good support from lakhs of CGE this will be of great help in the present situation to the party, it will also become a good entry in their service to the nation. At the same time merging 50% of the DA with the basic pay w.e.f. 2011 and 100 % with effect from 2014 January will encourage mass population. this good deed of the ruling party will surely bring unexpected results.
Once again congress party will emerge as the major party of the country, this will be as a result of the support from the lakhs of employees with their kin and kith. (Give and take policy) by. Ex-Serviceman

good decision to increase retirement age from 60 to 62 as the experienced employee will perform the office work expediently and seriously and guard the administrator for all sort of decision .it is the solution of financial crisis too. there are many vacancies which should be filled up from the young generation ,so that there should not be any harmful to the young society as the govt.will decide to increase the retirement age from 60 to 62.

If, retirement age increased upto 62 years in 7th CPC, the young star who is waiting for employment in the central government will loose their opportunity to get job, present employers actually not interested to continue their job. 50% of the DA may be merged with the basic pay with effect from 2011 and 100 % with effect from 2014 January.

    dear sir,
pls see this time in pay commission, DA should be add with fractional decimal. because basics are getting boomed and for 42oo gp the basic will be Rs 40500, for this every 1%may equal to Rs 600-1000, every time once in january da announced as 7.95 but at the rate of 7%only government issues. then after again required 8 months to calculate this last .95% will be added in next DA Anouncement. so, at least Rs 6000-12000 may lost for each employee
so, pls mind this time, ask for da wiht fractional decimal

    Sir,
There is very few medical officers (GDMO) are left in CHS post (Govt. of India) due retirement at the age of 60 years. On the other hand Govt. of India has enhanced age of retirement up to years for teaching CHS CADRE (Same Cadre).Few state Govts have already enhanced the age of retirement upto 65 years for state Medical officers.Timely steps need to be taken to retain GENRAL DUTY MEDICAL OFFICERS (GDMO) in Govt. of India following enhancement of age of retirement up to 65 years, otherwise there will be shortage of medical administrators and there is no Health managers in India in Public sector (Govt. Sector).Public Health sector to be reviewed.

Memorandum given to ,Prime minister for hike in retirement age central govt. employees is a very good suggestion and if it is approved by the present govt. it will be good entry in their service to the nation. At the same time 50% of the DA may be merged with the basic pay with effect from 2011 and 100 % with effect from 2014 January. Central unions and associations are very much interested in submitting Memorandum etc about seventh CPC. The moot question as to how and why the Govt failed to constitute the commission. They may be in search of retired judges which are rare to get. What to do. Let us borrow some judges from Pakistan, the veteran Pakistan Chief Judge seems to have retired now.
