Sub: Amendment in the Rajasthan Travelling Allowance Rules, 1971.
The Governor is pleased to make the following amendment in the Rajasthan Travelling Allowance Rules, 1971, namely:
In the said Rules –
(1) below the existing clause (iii) of sub-rule (3), of the Rule 27 the following new clause (iv) shall be inserted, namely:-
|PURPOSE OF JOURNEY||
Where a retired Government servant is approved by disciplinary authority to assist the delinquent Government servant to present his case in the Departmental Enquiry held under the provisions of Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1958 on production of certificate or letter from the Disciplinary Authority to this effect.
|A retired government servant who is approved by the Disciplinary Authority of the delinquent Government servant to assist him in Departmental Enquiry held under the Rajasthan Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1958 shall be allowed Travelling Allowance as on tour on the basis of his status at the time of retirement. In such a case daily allowance shall be paid on the basis of certificate of attendance given by the Enquiry Officer. The payment of TA claim shall be made by the Disciplinary Authority of the delinquent Government servant.”|
(2) below the existing clause (iv) of sub-rule (1) of Rule 28, the following new clause (v) shall be inserted namely :-
“(v) A retired government servant who is summoned in a criminal or a civil case to which government is a party, to give evidence of the facts which came to his knowledge while discharging duties of the post shall be entitled to travelling
allowance as for journey on tour on the basis of his status at the time of retirement. The payment of T.A. claim shall be made by the office from where he retired after attaching to his bill a certificate of attendance and non payment of T.A. claim issued by the court or other authority which summoned him.”
