EXPECTED DEARNESS ALLOWANCE (D.A)FROM JAN 2011 FOR CENTRAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

November 3, 2010 rajasinghmurugesan

Expected DA from Jan 2011

The central government employees received 10% DA in addition to 35% earlier, which now stands at 45%.They got the payment as two months arrears for July and August. The DA for September was calculated in their regular monthly payments.Through this hike employees got an increase of Rs700 to Rs900 in their monthly salaries. There was no such increase before this.Let us see some of the reasons.

The main reason behind announcing DA is due to the increase of prices in essential commodities.’Labour Bureau’-which is under the central government takes the statistics of the prices of essential commodities in selected cities and this process is known as AICPIN -i.e.- All India Consumer Price Index. DA is calculated only as per the AICPIN.

Regarding the next instalment of DA which is to be announced from Jan 2011,numerous speculations are pouring in.The DA percentage will be calculated as per the AICPIN from September 2010 to December 2010.Suppose the AICPIN stands at 179 points or more, there are chances of getting 50% DA from Jan 2011.

Any way let us assume that the DA will surely cross the 50% which will enable increases in some allowances.

Children Education Allowance,Child Care Allowance,Washing Allowance,Cycle Allowance,Cash Handling Allowance,Conveyance Allowance,Split Duty Allowance will also be increased.

When DA crosses 100 percent serving employees will get a raise in allowances but how will the pensioners compensated who are already under alot of stress. Moreover last pay commission recommendation implementation was also discriminatory as the weightage formula for both was different . I feel if not more the pensioners should be given equal treatment. Their ill health should be a guiding factor. It is a common exprience that CGHS does not give all the medicines required and one has to spend substantial amount on medicines. Hope Govt takes a humane view of the difficulties of the pensioners as a big chunk is finding real hard to survive.

The total water demand for agriculture, domestic and industrial sectors of India in 1995 was estimated to be about 650 KM3, of this about 90% is withdrawn for agriculture sector. 3) Sustainable agriculture due to profitable large-scale agricultural production: This is by far the ultimate goal of industrial agriculture, which is to make it a profitable endeavor in order to sustain long-term food production. Agricultural courses are available at two levels, students can either take admission in agricultural engineering schools and can pursue bachelor degree courses, or they can pursue post graduate degree courses in agriculture.

Sir,its very difficult to survive with meager salaries for lower categories. From one side Govermnet says corruption should be eradicated and from the otherside government and its beaurocrates are very well immersed in corruption to the extent of living for generations.

Whoever comes into power to rule the nation are not bothered about clean ruling but as long as they are in power they are in their seats to clear all that poor people deserves.Give good pay packages to the lower employees and see the nations development in any given areas. without lower categories no ofdficer can survive or get good productivity.

Therefore, kindly consider lower category employees in any discipline and expect a great returns. And above all for education these lower categories can not afford to send their children for higher education with these meager salaries. If, Government really cares for the poor and needy….poor can show you the nation with all abilities. Please do not ignore poor with all fake promises just for vote bank. Who will save this country from its sinking policies and promises? Poor people love India somuch than any other rich of this nation.Lets continue to have hope in good government.Mera bharath mahaan hai…….

Nobody is not still sure abount next increase of DA w.e.f. January, 2011. But the same amid speculations DA would be around 7-8%. Considering all aspects i.e., price rise even the expected DA around 7-8% is also not sufficient. But we have to be statisfy ourselves. Well the other thing is that all the Central Govt employees should come forward and demand that HRA, TA should be raised by 25% when DA crosses 50% else there is no use of any increase in DA. agreed, that d.a. will increase by 6-8%, will definitely cross 50% then the same will be merged to pay and will increase other allowances also. therefore, the net effect would be much more. calculate exact % rise w.e.f. 1.1.11. We Govt. Employees getting such periodical rise to cope up with the increasing cost of living. But ever think of those working in Pvt., facing lot many problems to meet their both ends. Therefore, pray almighty to control the cost of basic requirement of poor people so they can give better education to their child and built educated india.

Government should treat 50% of Pay and Pension as Dearness Pay and Pension and regulate future installment of DA increases. By treating 50% pay as pension those who would be retiring from 01 Jan 11 will get the retirement benefits on Dearness Pay which was being given to the Central Government employees in the past.

WITH CPI AT 182 for Nov2010, 6% percent DA is confirmed because CPI at less than 172 for Dec2010 has to be ruled OUT. but if Dec CPI should hit 186, DA can be7%. Considering the food price inflation in WPI till now this is quite possible.

To all concerned, The expected DA increase is not unexpected, as the skyrocketing prices of all essential commodities affecting every common man. We know the price of onions today, not to leave the prices of vegetables, oil, pulses, petrol etc., if the DA increase is not sanctioned neither our vehicles will move nor our lives will? Jokes apart the Central employees’ organisations should fight for 50% DA merger with basic pay at lease now(which was done much later during the last regime when mergerdue from 1.1.2003 was given only in 2004. All concerned should rise and raise in one voice for this benefit due as has been spelt out by various pay commissions. only such an effort if it results in fruition, realisation will be tangible for all employees of the central and state governments. But one thing we all fail to see at this juncture is the common man in the unorganised sector who has to put up with the increase in cost of living which is causing harship without any respite and no succour from any quarter also. God! Save India our Great country.
