Dear Brother,

Sub: Transfer policy causing difficulties to Group ‘C’ staff — review urged — reg.

Ref: (i) NFIR’s PNM item No.18/2016.
(ii) Railway Board’s letter No.E(0)III/2014/PL/05 dated 31/08/2015.
(iii) NFIR’s letter No.II/14/Pt.VII dated 16/08/2016, 27/09/2016, 23/11/2016 & 25/11/2016.

     Please refer NFIR’s PNM item No.18/2016 on the subject of transfer policy, discussed at Railway Board’s level and minutes thereon.

     The General Secretary/NFIR met the Railway Board again on 06/02/2017 on the said issue. The Federation feels glad to convey that the Hon’ble MR has approved for non-insistance of 5 years minimum service condition in the following cases :-

(a) Inter-railway transfer request on spouse ground.
(b) Request transfer of physically challenged employees.
(c) Inter-railway mutual transfer requests.

     Formal orders of Railway Board are expected within 2 or 3 days.
