OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject :- Strengthening of administration — Periodical Review under FR 56 (j) and Rule 48 of CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 : Composition of Representation Committee and nomination of the two members by Cabinet Secretary

The undersigned is directed to refer to DoP&T OM of even number dated 1.3.2016 on the above mentioned subject and to say that for the sake of standardization and uniformity, following officers have been nominated by Cabinet Secretary to the Representation Committee to consider representations of Government servants working in various Departments under Rule 56(j) / Rule 48 of CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972 :-

(i) Shri B. P. Sharma, Secretary, D/o Health and Family Welfare; &

(ii) Ms. Deepti Umashankar, Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.

2. In case of receipt of a representation from any Govt. servant whom
the Appointing Authority has decided to retire under FR 56 (j) / Rule 48 of CCS(Pension) Rules, 1972, the Cadre Authority may constitute the Representation Committee by nominating the third member. No reference in this regard needs to be made to the Cabinet Secretariat.
