Subject: Instructions on recording of Annual Performance Appraisal Report (APAR) – reg.

I am directed to refer to the above mentioned subject and to say that the Department of Personnel & Training (DOP&T) has asked the Department to follow the given below instructions in respect of recording of Annual Performance Appraisal Report (APAR):
“If an APAR for a Financial Year is not recorded by 31st December of the year in which the Financial Year ended, no remarks may be recorded thereafter and the officer may be assessed on the basis of the overall record and self assessment for the year, if he has submitted his self assessment in time”.
2. It is therefore, requested that above instructions may be adhered to strictly and it may also be brought to the notice of all concerned.
