CORRIGENDUM
In the Memorandum Explanatory of the Central Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 1960, for the existing substituted, namely:-
“Clause (iii) – This clause relates to the fixation of pay where two existing scales not in the same line of promotion or more than two existing scales, whether in the same line of promotion or not, are replaced by a single revised scale. The cases that would be covered by this clause are workshop staff, clerical supervisory staff, and staff car drivers, and other categories of staff which the the Commission have grouped together and for which they have recommended a common revised scale. The method of fixation of pay will be the same as in clause (i), except that for such fixation the minimum of the revised scale shall be deemed to be the stage where the emoluments in the revised scale are equal to the emoluments at the minimum of the relevant existing scale or if there is no such stage, the stage next above”.
